Mumbai Darbar - Indian Cuisine

I do not generally like Indian food, however I would consider this one of the best meals in the Alexandria area. This is coming from someone born from a family of world. Lass chefs.

The flavor is amazing, and tailored perfectly for traditional Indian food. As a plus delivery is always one-time, if not early. If you're used to americanized Indian food, look elsewhere, if you want a brilliant meal and try something that tastes like it came from across the world eat here.

This was our first order there. It was delicious, still fairly hot (we expect some cooling during delivery), and made perfectly to order. The delivery guy was friendly and spent a few seconds telling me about other specials they run (not in a pushy way). They called to let me know one dessert was out of stock and offered both a substitute and a small complementary item to apologize for the change. Overall I will be trying them again (and hopefully again, and again!)

Quick delivery (faster than GrubHub estimated), friendly service, good food. I love finding a place that will make a dish spicier upon request. Additionally, our first delivery had the unfortunate timing to be in the middle of a quick rainstorm. Delivery was prompt and delicious. Regret not having cash at the door to increase delivery tip in the driving rain.

Delicious Indian delivered to my door in all weather? Yes please!

I have never had a bad experience from Mumbai Darbar. The food has always been consistently delicious, and the delivery is always quick. Today I originally ordered the rice pudding with my meal, but the restaurant was kind enough to call me almost immediately after ordering to say that they were out of the pudding, and if I were willing to have another desert instead. 5 stars all around.

Mumbai Darbar is our new favorite Indian takeout place! We love it!!! We've ordered from here twice and the food is consistent, flavorful and cooked perfectly! We love the Lamb Boti Kabob, Chicken Tikka Kabob (I asked for spicy and it was amazing!!!!), Butter Chicken Curry, and chickpeas are perfection! Please don't change the chef!! We'll order from here again and again!

I love this place. I think I order here at least once a week. My favorite dishes are Chicken Tikka, Salmon Tikka, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Vindaloo, Samosas and the chicken chickpea fried appetizer. For the tikkas the vegetable always changes and they're always delicious weather chickpeas, potatoes and peas, cauliflower etc. The Naan is delicious. And the food is great for leftovers/the next day.

The meal was exactly what I ordered and delivered well under the stated timeline. I was a bit of a moron and put my delivery address in wrong...but the driver was incredibly patient and kind and he quickly circled back around to find our home as I stood outside to explain where we lived.

Chicken Vindaloo, Lamb Vindaloo, and Paneer Pakora were outstanding! Portion size was perfect, food arrived on time, and piping hot. Great selection, great food, and a terrific price make Mumbai Darbar - Indian Cuisine an easy favorite! Highly Recommended.

Yum!! Great place for vegetarians - I loved the Bengan Bharta and Palak Paneer. Delicious, arrived hot, wasn't oily (I've had stuff arrived separated from another place). Plenty of rice and great garlic naan.

Best delivery in the area! Only place I've found where you can actually taste the time and love in the food. Everything we've ordered from here has been outstanding. And you can't beat those prices!
